Lorsqu\u2019elle est attaqu\u00e9e, elle s\u00e9cr\u00e8te des fibres tr\u00e8s r\u00e9sistantes capables d\u2019emprisonner des pr\u00e9dateurs plus gros qu\u2019elles. Des chercheurs ont utilis\u00e9 des techniques microscopiques avanc\u00e9es afin de suivre le cycle de vie des cellules de la myxine qui produisent les fibres. Ils ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 des mod\u00e8les en trois dimension pour comprendre comment les prot\u00e9ines s\u2019enroulent afin de ne pas s\u2019emm\u00ealer.
