\nAnalyses of\u00a0the genomes of\u00a0ancient\u00a0and modern individuals\u00a0from Siberia and North America, reveal insights about major migration events and the population history of these regions. Genomes of 48 ancient individuals from the Canadian, Siberian, and U.S. Arctic, as well as of modern populations, suggest that gene-flow\u00a0between Palaeo-Eskimos and the First Americans shaped the North American population history \u2013 giving rise to both the Eskimo\u2013Aleut and Na-Dene\u2013speaking peoples.<\/p>\n
