Climate change is affecting Canada\u2019s weather, changing not only the temperature, but also the quality of the air we breathe.\u00a0 Evidence suggests these changes may pose a serious threat to public health, especially for certain vulnerable populations in urban areas. With over 80% of Canadians living in urban settings, there is an urgent need to understand and adapt to the health risks associated with a changing climate. Adaptation and climate resilience is a key pillar of the\u00a0Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change<\/a>. SMCC<\/strong>\u00a0partnered up with\u00a0Environment and Climate Change Canada<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Health Canada<\/strong>\u00a0to present a webinar about innovative research underway to understand these effects and put in place strategies to ensure healthier cities.<\/p>\n
