In the past measurements were frequently inaccurate as the sugars, fats, and starches found in most edibles would clog the analytical device. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By using dry-ice and a silica based compound, researchers are able to take marijuana edibles such as brownies and gummies, and create a liquid that is made up of only cannabinoids. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The\u00a0researchers\u00a0believe the new method will lead to safer marijuana edibles for the expanding legal market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acs.org\/content\/acs\/en\/pressroom\/newsreleases\/2016\/march\/edible-cannabis.html\" target=\"_blank\">Original research<\/a><\/span>\u00a0presented at a meeting of the <em>American Chemical Society\u00a0<\/em>on <strong>March 14<\/strong><span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_453723367\"><span class=\"aQJ\"><strong>, 2015<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new way to more accurately measure the amount of cannabinoids in marijuana edibles was presented at the meeting of the American Chemical society March 15, 2016.
