(Photo : Peter Groenendijk)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Une nouvelle \u00e9tude remet en question l\u2019hypoth\u00e8se comme quoi une augmentation du gaz carbonique dans l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re serait li\u00e9e avec une croissance suppl\u00e9mentaire des arbres tropicaux.\u00a0Cette \u00e9tude aidera \u00e0 pr\u00e9dire comment les for\u00eats tropicales r\u00e9agiront dans les simulations climatiques.<\/p>\n<p>Plus de CO2 dans l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re devrait augmenter la photosynth\u00e8se des arbres et mener \u00e0 une utilisation plus efficace de l\u2019eau. Les chercheurs ont analys\u00e9 les anneaux de croissance de plus de 1000 arbres tropicaux et n\u2019ont constat\u00e9 aucun lien entre la concentration de gaz carbonique atmosph\u00e9rique et la croissance des arbres.
