(Cr\u00e9dit photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/sfupamr\/sets\/72157648896598132\/\">communications universitaires de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Simon Fraser Communications, via Flickr<\/a>)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Une nouvelle \u00e9tude montre comment la concentration d\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne dissous dans l\u2019eau joue un r\u00f4le primordial dans la vitesse de d\u00e9composition des corps sous l\u2019eau.<\/p>\n<p>Cette \u00e9tude pourrait servir aux enqu\u00eateurs qui doivent d\u00e9terminer combien de temps un corps est rest\u00e9 sous l\u2019eau. Des chercheurs ont men\u00e9 cette \u00e9tude en d\u00e9posant trois carcasses de porcs \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du r\u00e9seau sous-marin exp\u00e9rimental de Victoria (VENUS), un laboratoire sous-marin \u00e9quip\u00e9 de cam\u00e9ras et de senseurs capables d\u2019enregistrer entre autres la concentration d\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne, la temp\u00e9rature, la pression, la salinit\u00e9 et la densit\u00e9 de l\u2019eau chaque minute.<\/p>\n<p>Deux des carcasses ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9pec\u00e9es par des charognards en moins d\u2019un mois.
