(Dessin: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurekalert.org\/jrnls\/pnas\/pdfs\/pnas.201322107.pdf\">Darrah et al.<\/a>)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Des chercheurs montrent que le m\u00e9thane qui contamine certains puits d\u2019eau potable autour de puits de gaz de schiste en Pennsylvanie et au Texas provient de fissures dans la structure en b\u00e9ton du puits d\u2019extraction, et non du forage ou de la fracturation hydraulique.<\/p>\n<p>Pour ce faire, ils ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une nouvelle technique pour analyser la concentration d\u2019isotopes de gaz rares dans des \u00e9chantillons d\u2019eau potable afin d\u00e9terminer l\u2019origine du m\u00e9thane.
