They uploaded the photo to <\/span><a style=\"color: #1155cc;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.iseahorse.org\/?q=about\" target=\"_blank\">iSeahorse<\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">, a smartphone app developed by an <\/span><a style=\"color: #1155cc;\" href=\"http:\/\/seahorse.fisheries.ubc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">international team <\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">of seahorse scientists, including UBC marine biologist Amanda Vincent. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The \u2018citizen science\u2019 initiative is critical due to the fact that less than 15 scientists globally are studying seahorses.
