Les convertisseurs catalytiques existants transforment d\u00e9j\u00e0 le CO en gaz carbonique (CO<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">), mais n\u00e9cessitent des m\u00e9taux dispendieux tel le platine pour fonctionner. Les nouvelles nanoparticules d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es ici combinent de faibles quantit\u00e9s de platine avec des oxydes de fer et de nickel peu dispendieux, et sont plus efficaces que les convertisseurs analytiques sur le march\u00e9 en ce moment.
