Scientists normally use the number of citations to rank the impact of a scientific paper, but can popularity on Twitter form another metric? Researchers looked at over 1.4 million peer-reviewed articles published between 2010 and 2012 and determined how many times they were tweeted. They found that articles on health topics were tweeted the most, the #1 being an article on the effects of radiation on humans.
