A new study led on 15,000 physicians in Ontario shows that 43.3 percent of them registered for organ and tissue donation, an higher rate than the general population (23.9 percent).

This is the first study to document rates of actual organ donor registration among physicians in Canada, and authors conclude that this finding should help dispel the belief that physicians will not take all measures to save the life of a registered donor at a time of illness.
